Minutes of Planning Committee Meeting
Monday 4 November 2013, 7:30pm, Frant Memorial Hall

Present: Councillors Crookshank (Chairman), Argue, Mrs Best, Harris, Rowland and Wright.

1. To receive apologies and reasons for absence.
Apologies were received from Councillors Hall, Mrs Kinley, Mrs Myers and Rutherford.

2. Declarations of Interests.

4. To consider licence and planning applications received and make recommendations.
The following applications were received and comments made:
• WD/2013/2097/F – 3 Broomfield, Bells Yew Green TN3 9AF
Proposed conversion of garage to habitable accommodation.
The Parish Council supports this application
• WD/2013/2128/F – Unit R, The Brewery, Bells Yew Green Road, Bells Yew Green, TN3 9BD
Redevelopment of existing building to provide new small office unit
The Parish Council supports this application.
• WD/2013/2216/FA – Reflex Printed Plastics, Reflex House, Bells Yew Green Road, Bells Yew Green, TN13 9BQ
Removal of condition 5 of WD/2000/2103/F (demolition of two steel framed warehouse buildings and replacement with new industrial building for use as printing (litho & screen) workshop, and change of use of ancillary former farm buildings to class B1)
The Parish Council has no objection. However, there are potential concerns regarding highways – the poor visibility may be exacerbated by commercial vehicles on a minor road.
• WD/2013/2217/F – The Woodyard, Sandhill Lane, Eridge, TN3 9LS
Upgrade of existing telecommunications site: 2 no. antennae to be replaced with 3 no. new antennae and 3 no. additional microwave dishes to be fixed to the existing support pole.
The Parish Council has no objection.

• WD/2013/1485/F – 2 Yew Tree Cottages, Frant Road, Tunbridge Wells TN3 9HB – Proposed new single storey split level extension to the rear of the existing house, to form a new sun room and kitchen extension (amendment to WD/2013/0043/F) – Approved

• WD/2013/1588/PDM – Eridge Park Farm Shop, Bunny Lane, Near Eridge, TN3 9JR – Proposed change of use from agricultural and horticultural use to farm products and butchers shop and warehouse – Failed to reach decision

• The posts have been repaired around Frant Green. Thanks were extended to Cllr Argue.
• The Highways scheme for A267 is proceeding. However, the red tarmac is still to be negotiated.
