Minutes of Planning Committee Meeting

1. TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES AND REASONS FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received from Councillors Hall and Mrs Howell.

4. TO CONSIDER LICENCE AND PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS.
The following applications were received and comments made:
• WD/2012/1118/LDE – Canadian Laundry, Bunny Lane, Frant
Storage of building and fencing materials together with temporary storage of old building and fencing materials.
No objection
• WD/2012/1976/F – The Stables, Church Lane, Frant TN3 9DX
Reconstruction and enlargement of an existing car park.
The Parish Council supports this application
• WD/2013/0152/FE – Tyburn House, Ely Grange Estate, Frant TN3 9DZ
Erection of staff accommodation building in grounds of new dwelling.
No objection.  However, we have concerns that the extension is to justify the continuation of the unmade road into Tyburn and this needs to be rectified.  There is no evidence of the use of road imminent.
• WD/2013/0012/F – Rowden Oast, Down Lane, Frant TN3 9HP
Roof conversion and new roof windows with new window to gable end.
Support.  However, we are concerned that the windows in the Oast, in their current planned position, will overlook neighbours in an obtrusive manner.

5. TO NOTE APPLICATIONS GRANTED, REFUSED AND WITHDRAWN BY DISTRICT COUNCIL
• WD/2012/2411/F – Unit M, The Brewery Business Centre, Bells Yew Green Road, Bells Yew Green, TN3 9BD – Approved.
• WD/2012/2344/F – 11 High Street, Frant, TN3 9DT – Proposed two-storey side extension – Approved.
