FRANT PARISH FRIENDSHIP GROUP
For more information:
Phone Trudi (01892 750554), Helen (01892 750368) or Brian (01892 750266).
Frant Parish Friendship Group was established in 2010 with the help of Action in Rural Sussex. There was a need in the Parish for a Senior’s social group.
The Friendship Group is a Parish community based activity and is run by volunteers. It is open to all and meets on the 4th Thursday of each month between September and April. These monthly meetings provide entertaining speakers, congenial company and a rather good tea. We meet in the Stables next to Frant Church where there is ample parking.
We also run an Older and Active exercise group (see dates below) which is very popular and there is a very active Knit and Natter group knitting for charity. During the summer months we arrange outings to places of interest and our Christmas lunch is extremely popular. Chiropody is held in Bells Yew Green village Hall by Les Wilcox and appointments can be made directly with him on 0752 5466 665.
We charge £2.00 per session but most of our money has come from generous donations from the Sussex Community Foundation, and from various other sources including the School House Trust.
