Frant Memorial Hall looks over the Village Green - the focal point
of this pretty Sussex Village. The Green also serves as a cricket field during
the summer months. As well as being a great venue for private parties, weddings
and other celebrations, the Hall currently serves local clubs and interest
groups such as Bowls (a superb bowling green is adjacent to the Hall itself),
art, flower arranging, exercise (badminton, dance, yoga), ballet, drama,
judo etc. It is also the venue of the village Nursery School.
Having recently benefited from an "Awards for All" grant,
we have a brand new, top of the range fitted kitchen which leads into a small
hall (with fitted bar). In addition, there is a large hall which has a full
stage ideal for local productions, music halls etc.
We offer competitive hire rates and help is on hand for setting up
functions (for an extra cost ) from our Caretaker. If you are interested in
making a booking, please contact Sarah Davies (above).
FRANT MEMORIAL HALL NEWS
We have finally finished the work on the Hall which was funded by "Awards for All". They were so helpful and gave us our award so readily - I believe the support you gave us by signing your approval of the need we had to up grade the Hall, was pivotal in gaining it; we collected some 450 signatures in a week. The new radiators are now in situ in both halls and the decoration needed because of this work, is now in hand. However, we still need to undertake further work in replacing old rotten window frames, redecorating the outside, replacing the outside notice board, up grading our crockery where necessary etc. Thus we are still eager to gain some further funds by some fund raising and we will be holding a
